Water Management
In partnership with KHAFRA ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS, INC. we have been working with the Ministry of Water & Energy to finance various water and wastewater treatment plant projects for the city of Addis Ababa and provincial cities. KHAFRA secured finance form US EXIM bank for the design and implementation of water supply. The project is still under evaluation.
Renewable Energy
Our team is involved in all assets classes that promote renewable energy generation through sustainable processes, either with existing or new green/clean technologies. Our vision is to successfully promote renewable energy, working with investors and developers to make the process commercially viable for all concerned.
We aim to create a more sustainable energy environment for local communities, reduce the carbon footprint and attract investment through industry and commerce.
Solar Energy
In recent years, the solar market has seen enormous global growth. ELCO POWER – Energy operates in areas where we see the highest potential with minimum political and legislative risk.
We are currently focused on the African market which will be supported by Feed in Tariff and Renewable Obligation Certificates. Our principle markets for Solar PV include Ethiopia, Djibouti, Sudan, and Eritrea, Rwanda.
Wind Energy
An excellent and abundant alternative to fELCO Poweril fuels, wind power is widely distributed for several reasons. It is clean and renewable, uses little land and produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation.
Environmental effects are, as a general rule, less problematic than those from other power sources. The monetary cost per unit of energy produced is similar to the cost for new coal and natural gas installations.
We target African markets for our clients. We see strong growth in these countries and are working alongside solid developers with extensive pipeline.
ELCO Power Engineering is an importer of the following products globally;
